Trevor Maluki, From Chipuka to Langley School, UK
Trevor Maluki’s journey is a story of talent, development, opportunity and belief.
A prolific left-footed player, Trevor began his football journey at just six years old. Even at a young age, his natural ability, technical quality and understanding of the game were evident.
At Chipuka, Trevor found an environment where that talent could be nurtured. Through years of training, competition, mentorship and guidance from Chipuka coaches, he developed from a gifted young player into a confident and accomplished young footballer.
At 17, Trevor has now taken another major step in his journey.
He has completed his move to the United Kingdom, where he has earned a sports and education scholarship at Langley School. His new chapter combines his academic development with the opportunity to continue pursuing football at an international level.
A Journey of Achievement
Trevor's development has been marked by a number of significant milestones.
He represented the Kenya U-17 National Team at the 2025 CECAFA U-17 Championship, helping Kenya finish third in the tournament.
At club and academy level, his performances have also earned major recognition, including:
* Southampton Youth League U15 Team of the Year
* Southampton Youth League U15 Runners-Up Top Scorer
* Southampton Youth League U15 Overall Best Player
* Chipuka Player of the Year — 2024
* Chipuka Best Midfielder — 2024
* Named among the Top 25 East African Players Under 17
That last recognition came after Trevor made a significant impression at the Chipkizi East African Tournament in Arusha, Tanzania, where he competed in the U17 category at just 14 years old.
More Than Football
Trevor's story is not simply about becoming a better footballer.
It is about what can happen when talent, consistent development, education and opportunity come together.
From a six-year-old discovering his love for football to representing his country and earning a sports and education scholarship in the UK, Trevor's journey reflects the pathway Chipuka seeks to create for young people:
Local → Regional → International.
Trevor leaves for his next chapter as a young man shaped by years of football, education, competition, coaching and life experiences.
And while his journey continues, his story will always be part of ours.
Congratulations, Trevor.
From Chipuka to Langley School.
